Let nature do the talking: Creating Soundscapes of Hope with Hazel Reeves

As part of the Steyning Festival, conservation sound artist Hazel Reeves and Matt Phelps will explore what the sounds of nature can tell us about the health of our landscapes. Through recordings gathered across Sussex, the talk will highlight how conservation and rewilding are helping nature return, creating powerful “soundscapes of hope” from a variety of habitats across the county.

The event also launches Soundscapes of Hope, Hazel’s immersive sound installation at Steyning Parish Church, running from 25 to 29 May as part of the festival programme.
