The Great Cansiron Holistic Trust is a land project to the east of East Grinstead on the A264 near Holtye Common. It is 490 acres of land, of which 270 acres is currently farmed by Tablehurst using biodynamic farming methods. The remainder of the land is to be used for biodiversity, wilding and community activity, and is set up as a Community Benefit Society. They are keen to connect with as many locals / neighbours as possible as well as those who are actively involved in planning, ecology, land management and regeneration, or just those with an interest in finding out more. They will be talking about the project and as well as providing a tour of part of the site and listening to feedback from those in attendance. There will be maps and reports for people to see areas of the land that the tour won’t cover.
“The Great Cansiron Holistic Trust was formed a year ago and we’re opening our doors this September afternoon. We want to meet you and share our story so far. Collectively, we are discovering ways to safeguard almost 500 acres of land, maximising opportunities for work, food and our cherished natural world. Join us for a warm welcome, meet our team, hang out, enjoy local refreshments and a short tour of part of the land.” – Roger Ross
