Pondscapes Project

The Pondscape Project is an upcoming initiative and one of our connector projects in the Weald to Waves corridor. By creating and enhancing ponds across Sussex, it will build a network of wetland stepping stones that help species move through the landscape, boost biodiversity, and improve water resilience.

Mob grazing at Knepp Regen Farm, by Tanya Forbes

Mob grazing can transform the way grasslands are managed by restoring soils, boosting biodiversity, and working with natural grazing patterns. Through the Mob Grazing Kit Loan Scheme, Weald to Waves is helping farmers and landowners trial this regenerative approach and support nature recovery across the landscape.

Scrub and hedgerows, by Alex Briggs

Scrubland Superheroes is bringing scrub back to life across Sussex. Through hands-on restoration, landowner support, and habitat creation, the project connects landscapes, boosts biodiversity, and helps wildlife move, adapt, and thrive across the Weald to Waves corridor.

Habitat connectivity underpins healthy ecosystems and resilient wildlife populations. By modelling connectivity across the Weald to Waves corridor using champion species, we can guide habitat creation and restoration to support biodiversity recovery.
