About The Project
Species-rich grassland has declined by over 97% in under a century and now covers just 1% of the UK.
Mob grazing is a regenerative grazing approach that works with natural processes to improve soil health, support wildlife, and build resilient grasslands. By mimicking the movement of wild grazing herds, mob grazing can reduce overgrazing, encourage diverse sward structures, and improve the long-term productivity of land.
The Weald to Waves Mob Grazing Kit Loan Scheme supports farmers and landowners to trial this approach in real working landscapes. By providing practical equipment and expert guidance, the project helps members explore how mob grazing can benefit nature recovery across the wider Weald to Waves landscape.
