Weald to Waves and Partners: Championing nature recovery across Sussex

There has never been a better time to get involved with nature recovery in Sussex!
Perhaps you are already gardening for wildlife or volunteering with a local nature group. Or perhaps you are keen to take action for nature but need some support to get started. Now is the perfect time to get involved with the fantastic projects and opportunities on offer across the county, and Weald to Waves can help you find them.
Working with our partners and community groups, Weald to Waves is boosting connections for wildlife moving through our local areas and landscapes. As our membership grows, so does the Weald to Waves Community Champion network, as we recognise and celebrate our members’ efforts to improve habitats, strengthen connections, and inspire their local communities to join in.
Our Community Champions are individuals and community groups working alongside us to shape the corridor through events, networking and practical action, including managing their local greenspaces for wildlife. Our Champions have access to a growing range of support and resources, including monitoring and surveying equipment through the BioBox loan scheme, which they have been using successfully in their community events, in schools, churches and local gardens.
