Mob Grazing kit Loan Scheme
The Mob Grazing Kit Loan Scheme helps landowners and livestock farmers trial regenerative grazing techniques that mimic the natural grazing patterns of wild herds. Unlike conventional set-stocking, mob grazing involves giving a herd or flock access to a small area for a short period, followed by long rest intervals. This approach improves soil health, boosts biodiversity, and can make grazing more productive, ecological, and profitable.
To support Weald to Waves members, the scheme provides all the essential equipment needed to trial mob grazing. Members can borrow a kit for an agreed period, receive expert guidance from the Landscape Advisor, and apply to keep the equipment if it enhances nature-friendly grazing and delivers measurable biodiversity benefits.
