SUMMARY:People's Trust for Endangered Species Living with Mammals Survey
DESCRIPTION:The Living with Mammals survey invites people across the UK to record the wild mammals they see in their gardens\, parks\, allotments\, or other local green spaces. By collecting these observations\, researchers can track how mammal populations are changing and better understand the health of our urban and rural environments. \nTaking part is simple. Choose a nearby green space and record any mammals you see\, or signs they leave behind such as footprints or droppings. Submitting these sightings online helps build a national picture of where species like hedgehogs\, foxes\, squirrels\, and bats are living and how their numbers are changing. \nFind out more and take part:https://ptes.org/get-involved/surveys/garden/living-with-mammals/about-the-living-with-mammals-survey/

SUMMARY:Big Butterfly Count- Butterfly Conservation
DESCRIPTION:The Big Butterfly Count is a nationwide citizen science survey aimed at helping us assess the health of our environment. It was launched in 2010 and has rapidly become the world’s biggest survey of butterflies. \nThe Big Butterfly Count 2026 reopens on the 1st of July ready for the main event between the 17th of July and 9th of August. \nSimply count butterflies for 15 minutes during bright (preferably sunny) weather during the Big Butterfly Count. We have chosen this time of year because most butterflies are at the adult stage of their lifecycle\, so more likely to be seen. Records are welcome from anywhere: from parks\, school grounds and gardens\, to fields and forests. \nFor more information and how to participate\, click here.
